| My First Experience in Sahaja Yoga |
| My brother advised me to come to a Sahaja Yoga program. He was
rarely seeking in the field of spirituality, and his call had so
surprised me, that I saw it as a sign and decided to go. By then, I
already had experience in the practice of various systems of
meditation and prayer. I was convinced that real spiritual growth
and realization of spiritual potential were possible only under the
guidance of a true teacher. But where could I find such a teacher in
this time full of deception?
God heard my prayers. Some years were required to understand it; but that evening I was in the presence of a lady dressed in a white sari and from my head sprang forth a fountain of cool vibrations. I was unable to estimate the importance of this event. It changed my whole life. There was one more experience that became very significant in my acceptance of Sahaja Yoga. I have had the good fortune to be at several programs where I could see and listen to Shri Mataji. And from the depth of my heart, the understanding has come that Shri Mataji’s language, in its essence, is the language of great saints, prophets and incarnations. I felt the same source of knowledge. Not mental, but true spiritual knowledge. Knowledge which transforms. Today I can tell more. The essence of Shri Mataji is the boundless Love of Mother. The speech of Shri Mataji is a music that calms, cures, and balances. It is my personal experience, but it can become yours also. It is available and accessible to many. The two parrots living with me start to sing whenever I listen to the recordings of her words. There is one more important event. I was sitting in a hall before Shri Mataji’s photograph. Near to me was Dr. Kumar – an experienced Indian yogi. A lot of thoughts bombarded my brain. I spoke: " Shri Mataji - only you are my Guru " and I felt a powerful stream of energy rise upwards from the base of my backbone, as if somebody’s hand closed the tap from which these thoughts flow. A beautiful inner peace came to me. Afterward, I mentally thanked everyone who helped me in any way. Since then, my spiritual path is connected only to Sahaja Yoga and Shri Mataji. Being still absolutely "green," a beginning yogi, and living in
difficult circumstances, I could well be convinced of the
effectiveness of this connection. Problems were solved completely,
in an unpredictable and spontaneous way. It also was obvious that
these solutions were not a fruit of my conscious efforts. I have
received more than I searched for. Nothing has ever given me as
great pleasure as Sahaja Yoga. Today I know that Sahaja Yoga is a
source of the pure knowledge, capable of changing not only the life
of each of us, but also to transform this whole world. And I would
like to wish that everyone will receive this beautiful experience. |
